Miss „pirateheart“ Béatrice Martin already gathered a significant following with her debut „Cœur de Pirate“ ten years ago. Her melancholic and hypnotic piano play and obviously her beautiful voice made her live shows an unforgetable event. While in the past the Canadian sang both English and French lyrics her soon to be released 4th album „En cas de
tempête, ce jardin sera fermé“ will be entirely in French. It is the product of a rather difficult time that Béatrice Martin went through after releasing the predecessor „Roses“. Just
recently she said in an interview that she was done with making music and wanted to quit. So it comes as a surprise to her that she’s releasing a new album now and when you listen to the already released songs „Somnambule“ and „Dans La Nuit“ you’ll realise that she managed to do what only strong artists are capable of doing. She was able to put her grieve and doubts and carve them into beautiful touching popsongs. In November she’ll fly over the pond and play a her new songs for us.
