It came close of a sensation when last year Ed Kowalczyk, Chad Taylor, Patrick Dahlheimer and Chad Gracey went back to the studio to revive their band 12 years after their last release „Songs From Black Mountain“. Ed Kowalczyk left the band in 2009 for a little while in support of his solo career. Now he’s back with the band that brought us classics such as „I Alone“, „Lightning Crashes“, „All Over You“ and „Selling The Drama“ ever since they first into the scene in the early 90s and it has already proven to be the right decision. The comeback EP „Local 717“ showcases the men from York, Pennsylvania in their prime. The opener „Love Lounge“ is timeless and driving rock music with a Kowalczyk who seems very comfortable in his old role. „Brother“ on the other hand shows that the term „power-ballad“ is not necessarily a bad thing. It is not certain if there is going to be a new album but we know that Live will play an exclusive, pardon, live show at Astra in Berlin July 1st.
