Songs like "Teardrop“, "Unfinished Sympathy“, "Karmacoma“ or the relatively new "The Spoils“ are all timeless classics. The powerful, dark and clever tracks of Massive Attack are just as impacting as they were when they were released. That’s partly due to the live shows of recent years. Robert "3D“ Del Naja and Grantley Evan Marshall aka Daddy G, the only remaining founding members of the band from Bristol, tend to only release new music on a sporadic basis but nonetheless they manage to blow away the audience every single time as their shows are beyond just regular concerts. It’s best described as a unique mix of a concert/media/art project and a statement for the status quo. Through the use of visuals in every song, they relate to current events – carrying a message and taking a stand. Furthermore, they like to mix up their line ups with different singers – a couple of years back they even integrated their support Young Fathers into their own set. One thing is for certain, it won’t be boring with them – and that will not change when they come back to Germany in summer 2022 for two shows.
