Dillon

Dominique Dillon de Byingto aka Dillon is probably one of the most fascinating musicians living in Germany. The Brazilian-born pianist, singer and songwriter already impressed with her debut album "This Silence Kills" from 2011, which also features her most successful song "Thirteen Thirtyfive", which already has collected over 25 million streams on Spotify.

Her follow-up albums “The Unknown” (2014) and “Kind” (2017) established her as an intense and accomplished artist whose music gently and beguilingly pulls the listener into the darkness. This applies to their albums as well as to their concerts - which can be checked on the live album "Live At Haus Der Berliner Festspiele". There she begins with throbbing electronic noises, throws powerful beats into the noble venue, only to rely then almost exclusively on piano and voice a few songs later.

If you don't get goosebumps while recording "A Matter Of Time", which she dedicated to her mother, you won't feel anything else either. Now a fourth album is finally on the way - the first release since the 2019 EP "When Breathing Feels Like Drowning". It will be called "6abotage". It is an intensive collaboration with the producer and artist Alexis Troy, as she reveals in advance. "Working with Alexis, whose work I've admired for years, gave me access to a part of me that was yet to be artistically explored," says Dillon. "6abotage" is "the uncompromising manifestation of this musical collaboration. As a hybrid in the truest sense of the word, '6abotage' is a love letter, a call for help and consequence all rolled into one. Written, produced and recorded in complete isolation, without us ever being in the same room, 6abotage reflects today's zeitgeist. It's painful and distressing, but also comforting and devotional. '6abotage' is a successful protest.”
