Massive Attack in summer 2018 for two shows in Germany
In 2018 Massive Attack will celebrate their 30th anniversairy. Robert Del Naja and Daddy G founded the band back in 1988 in Bristol together with Andrew Wolves and a new genre was born called trip hop. Although the band never really cared about labels like Bristol sound or trip hop. But what makes this band so special is their reliability: Shows of Massive Attack are no nostalgia events even nowadays. This might have to do with the timeless quality of their songs for one but another key factor is their sense for fresh collaborations and guest voices.
For example, on her last tour they were accompanied by the band Young Fathers, probably the most thrilling new band that Scotland has to offer. The bands got along so well that they will be also touring together in 2018.
Each Massive Attack show is also a political statement: Del Naja and Daddy G always come up with an elaborate dramaturgy of lights and words, which consciously sets accents.
In other words, we can look forward to two brilliant shows in Germany in summer 2018.
